Potolook's functionality can be manually customized with additional modules. Some of the modules are implemented as ActiveX objects that can be used both within the plug-in and inside the external programs or scripts.

The most-frequently used modules come with the Potolook distribution file and are built in the program originally. Updating these modules is usually followed by release of a sequent Beta version of the plug-in. Therefore the best way to obtain the latest version of a built-in module is to download the newest Beta version of the plug-in.
